That is the very big question that only you can answer yourself. In this article, we give you some good reasons to buy your own espresso machine. In addition, you can also read about which machines are the best on the market and why they are each so popular.

Whether or not to buy an espresso machine is often a big consideration for many, as it is often a relatively large investment for many. If you are one of those who are on the verge of buying a machine, then at least you do not have many reasons to buy it. Therefore, we have gathered here some reasons that you can use to convince yourself, or perhaps your partner.

If your in a rush, and just looking for the best espresso machine to review, please read this guide HERE.

If you are interested in a quick and easy choice for the absolute best espresso machine, that will not cost the price equal to a house, my personal absolute favourite espresso machine, when I am taking things such as price, build quality, features, and overall value in consideration I am left with only one option. The barista Express.

I am using this specific model every day, and I have never regretted the purchase!

Even comes with a great grinder, included directly in the machine itself.

Good Reasons to buy an espresso machine

Never Worse Coffee:

A good cup of coffee is often the best way to start the day for many people.

Instead of starting the day with a cup of coffee that may not be of the best quality, it will be obvious that the coffee is top quality, now that you have to drink it almost every morning.

The taste:

If you are going to make a good cup of coffee with an old-fashioned machine, it will require some serious knowledge of this if the coffee is just going to be pretty good.

If you make the coffee on an old-fashioned machine, it might be really good, but the next day you can not get the same good taste, and you do not want to drink the espresso at all.

What did you do wrong?

Was it the beans?

Was it too much or too little water?

And you may not care if you buy a modern espresso machine.

With a new espresso machine everything is set for you, so you get exactly the right taste every time.

The only thing you typically have to worry about is finding some coffee beans that you like.

Productivity:

Science has previously proven that coffee can increase one’s productivity.

A recent study by companies found that as many as 89% of employees believe that a cup of coffee can improve their entire working day.

But it’s not just the extra energy. It also makes you healthier and more alert because of the caffeine, you probably already know it yourself, if you have drunk a lot of coffee before going to sleep.

Then it can be very difficult to fall asleep right away. If you’re still not convinced that you need an espresso machine, then you can read more about the benefits of coffee at Harvard, which has several studies on the subject.

Simplicity:

Sometimes it is tricky to have to brew a whole pitcher of coffee on your Moccamaster, especially here the espresso machine comes to its full right.

Instead of making a whole jug, you can just make a single cup, which is the only thing you might need early in the morning.

Besides just making a single cup, you can make it with a single push of a button and “like magic”, it is done in seconds.

It is very difficult to see how it can be easier than this to make coffee.

Cheaper than the bar:

You might have your daily routine on the way to work, where you just walk past the local coffee shop and buy a large latte for $ 5.

Try to multiply this by just a month, then you suddenly have one very large expense on coffee.

Instead of buying the expensive coffee, an espresso machine will be far cheaper in the long run.

For example, let’s say you buy an espresso machine for $ 1000. If we then assume that you bought a coffee for $ 5 every day and stop doing this, then the espresso machine will have earned for itself in just over 3 months (200 days).

Experiments:

If you are the type who always loves to try something new and quickly get tired of the old, then you will definitely be able to nod to this point.

With an espresso machine, you can experiment with all kinds of espresso.

For example, have you tasted a macchiato, mocha or americano?

All these types of espresso allow you to experiment with making.

And who knows, maybe you’ll find yourself a brand new favourite coffee.

Entertain the guests:

After visiting the diners, there is always someone who wants coffee for dessert.

Is there anything cooler than standing and making coffee at your very own espresso machine while you talk to guests who help to put the dishes down?

Your guests will immediately look forward to the good cup of coffee, and it will certainly be something they appreciate, instead of a boring filter coffee.

Which espresso machine should I buy?

Which espresso machine should I buy

Okay, you finally decided which espresso machine to buy .. but there are many models on the market and now you really have a hard time deciding.

They vary widely in price and have many different features.

This is a difficult task, so you can read more about what to pay attention to when choosing a machine that suits your needs.

All in all, it ultimately depends on how much you “get into the coffee”.

If you are the type who loves to grind your own coffee, then a semi-automatic espresso machine will be perfect, but if you are the type who needs it as easy as possible, then a fully automatic machine is obvious.

If you are ready to find a machine that suits your needs, then you can find an overview of espresso machines here.

All espresso machines require a bit of maintenance, including removing ground coffee beans, emptying used capsules, cleaning the drip tray, replacing the water tank, etc.

Some machines have a removable brewing group that is easy to open and clean.

Other machines have a built-in brew group, which is designed to clean itself, which is what most people prefer.

If you are the type who likes to be hands-on then go for an espresso machine with a removable brew group.

If you prefer to go after a machine that can clean itself, then be aware that you may have to pay for a service if something is suddenly not working or is broken.

If you choose an espresso machine that has a removable brew group, then another thing to be aware of is the amount of pressure that the machine can brew with.

The bar pressure can greatly help determine how the coffee will taste when the machine must extract flavour from the beans.

Choose a machine that has a bar pressure of 9 or more.

If you are looking for a good espresso machine, i recommend you read this article I wrote recently HERE.

I have taken the liberty of adding a link to Amazon, where you can see the different models, and read additional reviews.

With an espresso machine, there is many cons and pros.

On one hand you can say that the cost of buying a decent espresso machine is expensive, and also the fresh beans that are “required” cost a fair amount of money.

On the other hand, you have to mention the HUGE difference in quality.

Both in regards to the coffee drink itself, as the taste is far better than any filter coffee machine.

Also, you have to say that, Yes, the beans are costly, but as with anything else in life, you get what you pay for.

And you really get a lot when investing in a good espresso machine.

Personally in our household, we have a MoccaMaster drip coffee machine, and also a Sage Barista Express.

I almost never use the MoccaMaster, even though it makes good coffee.

It does not come close to the coffee quality I can make on my Barista Express.

You simply get a better product.

Even if you use the same beans, because of the various customization options on the espresso machine, you get much more control in regards to the outcome, and when it comes to coffee, that means you will be getting a much better cup of espresso, cappuccino, or macchiato than you could ever come close to making with a filter coffee machine.

I have never looked back, it’s that easy.
